Happy Holidays

from our families to yours

THE PAST YEAR HAS BEEN A 'RUFF' ONE.

We sincerely hope you have been staying safe and healthy. Here at Oliver’s Foundation we have been working hard towards our mission, and we have you to thank for helping us through our first full year as a non-profit!

Despite the absolute insanity of this past year, we were still able to raise almost $10,000 through virtual trivia nights, online merchandise sales, a whiskey barrel chair raffle, and a very special Brews for Rescues event way back in February. (You can check out more about those events here!) Those funds were able to support several local rescues and animal shelters such as Ferndale Cat Shelter, Detroit Dog Rescue, Tigerlily Cat Rescue & Bark Nation!

Moving forward, we hope to continue with you in our work for Detroit’s animals. When any animal arrives in a noisy shelter without their humans, lost and confused, they just don’t understand. They don’t understand that they may have contracted heartworm, whose treatment was just too much to afford. They don’t understand that a little bit more training might have prepared them for the new baby in the household. They will never understand how a global pandemic could make it hard for their humans to put food in their bowls.

But together we can help both these animals and their families through these difficult times. Through prevention, education, and collaboration, we can keep pets with their families. Any support helps, whether it is a follow on social media, your presence at an event, or a donation to our cause.

We are proud to fight for the animals of Metro Detroit, and proud to have you by our side. Have a wonderful holiday season, and we hope to see you safely in 2021.

BREWS FOR RESCUES - FEBRUARY 2020

This year we debuted the first event in our Brews for Rescues series! For this initiative, we bring together local breweries and rescue to help fundraise and raise awareness in the community. In partnership with Urbanrest Brewing Company in Royal Oak, we brewed a special beer to support our friends at Bark Nation. You helped us raise $5,400 to help them work towards ending dog fighting and support the survivor dogs in their care.

QUARANTINE & A PANDEMIC... PIVOT!

Like the rest of the world, the pandemic threw a huge wrench in our plans for 2020. We had to re-evaluate and cancel most of our planned events for the rest of the year. But we knew we couldn't just stop supporting the rescues of Metro Detroit. So we came up with new merchandise, virtual trivia events and a raffle. All things to keep our chins up, and help in any way we could.

OUR COLLABORATORS

We are incredibly proud of our connections with local rescues & shelters. Our mission is to help support them with spay & neuter programs, education, and whatever else they need to succeed.

Please feel free to click on their logos to learn more about their missions.
